About South Devon Cats Rehoming…
We are a cat rehoming charity and take in unwanted cats, if needed getting them neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and then finding a good forever home. The cats are kept in volunteer foster homes and the charity pays for the food/litter and vet fees while in care.
No cat is ever euthanised unless on vet recommendation and sometimes we have cats in permanent foster care where through age or medical problems they are unhomeable. This, of course, puts a financial burden on the charity but we believe every cat deserves to be loved and cared for for the whole of its natural life, or at least once it arrives into our charity.
We have a thorough adoption process and look to find the right home for the particular cat and also the right cat for the home. It is all done on an individual basis.
