About LG Leatherworks…
Louise is the founder of LG Leatherworks, a luxury handmade products business creating handbags, wallets, belts, dog accessories and much more. Louise also takes on commissions, repairs and hosts workshop day experiences for creative people to come and learn the skill of hand stitched leather work in the tranquillity of her Shepherd’s hut workshop on Dartmoor, Devon.
With 10 years experience in creating luxury leather products, Louise focuses on an enduring and timeless style to last a lifetime. In previous job roles Louise has worked as a bookkeeper, chef and in a plant nursery. When her last bookkeeping job ended due to the clients moving away, Louise took on the challenge of something new, and after taking part in some intensive leatherwork course she founded LG Leatherworks, after falling in love with the craft.
Having been gifted a pair of leather reins and a leather sandwich box from her grandmother, which dates back to the 1930’s, and marvelling in the quality, Louise’s focus is on creating products that have this ethos at their heart and will stand the test of time to be passed down through the generations.
