Debbie’s Hand-made cards and Mounted prints

Special cards, for that special person.

About Debbie…

My name is Debbie Dunkley , and I live in the village of Liverton. I moved to Devon from Norfolk almost 30years ago, to pursue my career in nursing, and though I had always been a keen photographer, I had never really used my photographs for any purpose.

Shortly after my re-location to the wonderful county of Devon, I met Laurie, also a keen photographer, and he taught me how to improve my images, and persuaded me to share them with others. I started producing greetings cards, initially to send to family and friends, but this quickly led to my attendance at coffee mornings, fetes, craft fayres, and local produce markets, offering my cards for sale to the general public, and enabling me to share my photos with others, both local residents of Devon, and visitors to the county. I am a keen walker, and love all aspects of the British countryside–landscapes, flowers, coastal scenes and animals–I enjoy photographing them all.

My images are mostly, but not exclusively, shot in Devon, and I love chatting to customers about where, how, and why a particular shot was chosen. I am not a professional photographer, and have never received formal training, but I love to try out new ideas, and produce seasonal, unusual images, which could not be found in a shop ! In recent years, I have expanded my portfolio to include larger, mounted prints, suitable for framing, which have proved to be very popular, especially with visitors, who may like to take home a reminder of their visit.

I am more than happy to accept special requests and commissions, as all my images can be produced in sizes to suit the customer, on request. My customers often tell me that my cards have brought favourable comments from recipients, and that they often become permanent fixtures, having been placed in frames !
I hope that show-goers will enjoy browsing my selection, and find that special card, for that special person.
