Lustleigh Community Archives
The Archives of Lustleigh, located in the Old Vestry, provides an important insight into the development of a village situated on the edge of Dartmoor.
Restoration of Artwork…
The Parochial Church Council recently gifted the archives an old artwork depicting the church and lychgate. This painting is in very poor condition, having been stored in unsuitable conditions for many years.
The Show provided funds to enable conservation of this painting.
Storage Materials for the Archive Collection…
When storing the archive collection, we endeavour to store items to the best standard possible and always in archival standard storage materials. These are, unfortunately, expensive items for us to purchase and we use them constantly. We are donated hundreds of photographs every year and we are running very low on photographic storage and request funding in order to replenish our supplies.
The Show was happy to provide funding to enable replenishment of supplies.
Printer Upgrade…
The Epson model that the archives have used for many years is quite basic and wished to upgrade to a model that would provide good quality prints and photographs.
The Show was pleased to be able to provide funds towards this.
