About the Lustleigh Mummers…

The Lustleigh Mummers have been performing intermittently over the past twenty years, mostly at Christmas, outside the pub, inside the pub, on the church steps, in the village hall, and even at Castle Drogo. The Christmas version of this ancient folk play is traditional, with St George overcoming The Turkish Knight and a fearsome Dragon. The summer version retains our hero, but also introduces the legendary figure of The Green Man and a pair of sadly modern villains to battle against.
