I grew up in Scotland, moving to the West Country in 1984. I work from my home studio in Taunton, selling my paintings at various shows throughout Somerset, Devon & Dorset.
Most of my paintings are beach orientated. Some are real, some are brought together from memories and imagination. I have a particular fascination with the sea and clouds – finding them very therapeutic and inspiring. No matter what the weather is like; ‘warm & balmy’ or ‘wild & stormy’, a good walk along a beach will always clear your mind and promote positive feelings.
We all have places we love and for me that list is growing ………. but the Isles of Scilly, Gwithian Sands and Hayle Beach are very special.
I also love painting trees and hedgerows, which you will find in my Flora & Fauna Collection.
Hopefully my paintings will take you to where you love to be, whether real or imaginary.
